WHY I DO WHAT I DO

Because feeling seen and heard starts with who’s listening.

Samantha (Sam) completed her Diploma in Social Work at Keyano College in Fort McMurray, followed by her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work (Clinical Trauma-Informed Practice) through the University of Calgary. She has worked with children, youth, adults, couples, and families across the community.

Sam’s practice focuses on trauma, attachment, and the lasting impact of overwhelming experiences. Her approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and tailored to the individual needs of each client.

She integrates Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), EMDR, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) into her work to support clients in processing trauma, understanding patterns, and building greater emotional and relational stability.

Sam offers in-person and virtual therapy services to teens, adults, and couples throughout Fort McMurray and the greater Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
