2. No Professional-Client Relationship
The information provided on this Website is for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional medical advice, mental health advice, diagnosis, treatment, crisis intervention, or therapeutic care.
Use of this Website, including submitting a contact form, using “Connect with Us,” requesting a consultation, or using “Book a Session” links, does not create a therapist-client relationship.
A professional relationship is only established after a formal intake process, review of consent documents, and acceptance as a client by Third Space Therapy Co. or one of its clinicians.
3. Emergency and Crisis Disclaimer
Third Space Therapy Co. does not provide emergency or crisis services through this Website, email, contact forms, booking requests, or social media.
If you are in immediate danger or require urgent medical or mental health support, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide or needs immediate emotional support, you can call or text 9-8-8 in Canada for 24/7 crisis support.
Information submitted through this Website may not be reviewed immediately and should not be used for urgent, emergency, or crisis-related concerns.
4. Website Content Is Not a Substitute for Therapy
Website content, blog posts, resources, downloadable materials, social media content, and email communication are for general educational purposes only.
They are not a substitute for individualized therapy, assessment, diagnosis, medical care, crisis support, or legal advice. You should not rely on information from this Website as a replacement for professional support specific to your circumstances.
5. Privacy, Confidentiality, and Electronic Communication
We take privacy and confidentiality seriously. However, information submitted through this Website, email, contact forms, booking platforms, or other electronic communication methods may not be completely secure.
Clients and visitors are encouraged not to submit urgent, highly sensitive, or crisis-related information through the Website or general email.
Clinical privacy, confidentiality, informed consent, record-keeping, and electronic communication practices are reviewed more fully during the intake and consent process.
Use of this Website does not guarantee confidential therapeutic communication or create a therapist-client relationship.
6. Limits of Confidentiality
Therapy services are confidential, subject to legal and ethical limits. These limits may include, but are not limited to:
risk of serious harm to self or others;
suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable person;
court orders, subpoenas, or other legal requirements;
professional consultation or clinical supervision;
billing, administrative, or insurance-related requirements;
other circumstances required or permitted by law.
These limits are reviewed with clients during the intake and informed consent process.
7. Student Therapist and Supervision Disclosure
Third Space Therapy Co. may offer low-cost therapy services provided by Master of Social Work student therapists under clinical supervision.
Clients accessing student therapist services will be informed of the student therapist’s role, supervision structure, confidentiality considerations, documentation practices, and consent requirements before services begin.
Supervision may involve discussion of client care, review of clinical documentation, and oversight by a qualified supervisor.
8. Services for Children and Youth
Services for children and youth may require the involvement of parents, guardians, or legal decision-makers, depending on the child or youth’s age, maturity, circumstances, and applicable legal and ethical requirements.
Consent, confidentiality, caregiver involvement, information-sharing expectations, and safety-related limits are reviewed before or during the intake process.
Third Space Therapy Co. works to balance a young person’s need for privacy with caregiver involvement, safety, and applicable legal and ethical obligations.
9. Virtual Therapy and Client Location
For virtual therapy services, clients may be asked to confirm their physical location at the time of session.
Services are generally provided to clients located in jurisdictions where our clinicians are authorized, registered, or otherwise permitted to practice.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have access to a private, safe, and appropriate space for virtual sessions, as well as a reliable internet connection.
If a client is experiencing a crisis during a virtual session, the clinician may take appropriate steps to support safety, which may include contacting emergency services or an identified emergency contact where necessary.
10. Booking, Consultations, and Therapist Availability
Submitting a contact form, consultation request, or booking request does not guarantee therapist availability, acceptance as a client, clinical fit, or a specific appointment time.
Third Space Therapy Co. may recommend alternative services, referrals, or a different level of care where appropriate.
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services when we determine that a client’s needs are outside our scope of practice, expertise, service model, or available resources.
11. Fees, Payment, and Cancellation Policy
Fees, payment methods, direct billing availability, insurance-related information, and appointment policies are provided before or during the intake process and may vary depending on the service, provider, or program.
Clients are required to provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may be subject to the full session fee or a cancellation fee, unless otherwise discussed or in cases of emergency.
Clients are responsible for understanding their insurance coverage, reimbursement eligibility, and any fees not covered by third-party providers.
12. No Guarantee of Outcomes
While therapy can be supportive and meaningful for many people, Third Space Therapy Co. does not guarantee specific outcomes, symptom reduction, relationship changes, diagnoses, timelines, or results from any therapy service, modality, clinician, student therapist, or program.
Therapy outcomes vary depending on many factors, including client circumstances, goals, readiness, participation, therapist-client fit, and the nature of the concern being addressed.
