FEEL SEEN & SAFE
Therapy Services, Rooted in Care
At Third Space Therapy Co., we believe therapy should feel personal, supportive, and shaped around the individual sitting in the room.
Rooted in the Fort McMurray community, our practice was created to offer care that feels more personal, more flexible, and more connected to the needs of the people here.
PERSONALIZED SUPPORT
Our Services
We offer therapy for children, youth, individuals, couples, and groups. Each service is tailored to meet you where you are, with care that is collaborative, thoughtful, and responsive to your unique needs and goals.
-
We support children and teens in navigating big emotions, anxiety, behavioural challenges, school stress, and life transitions.
Our approach is developmentally appropriate, engaging, and grounded in connection. We work not only with the child or youth, but also alongside caregivers to strengthen understanding, communication, and support at home.
-
Individual therapy offers a space that is entirely your own, where you can slow down, reflect, and explore what you are carrying without judgment.
We support adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, self-worth, and life transitions. Together, we work to build insight, develop meaningful coping strategies, and create lasting change that feels aligned with who you are.

We support individuals who have experienced trauma in many forms—whether recent or from earlier in life. This may include single-incident trauma, complex or developmental trauma, or relational trauma that continues to impact how you feel, think, and connect with others.
Together, we work to gently process these experiences, reduce the intensity of emotional and physical responses, and help you feel more grounded, safe, and in control. Our approach is always paced, collaborative, and centered on your readiness.

Anxiety can show up as constant worry, racing thoughts, difficulty relaxing, or feeling stuck in “what if” thinking. For many, it can feel like your mind never shuts off.
We work with you to better understand your anxiety, identify patterns, and develop tools that actually fit your life—supporting both your thoughts and your nervous system so you can feel more settled and present.
Intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviours can feel distressing, confusing, and difficult to manage. These experiences are often misunderstood and can feel isolating.
We provide evidence-based, compassionate support to help you better understand what is happening and develop new ways of responding that reduce distress and increase a sense of control.

Depression can feel like heaviness, numbness, lack of motivation, or disconnection from yourself and others. It can make even simple tasks feel overwhelming.
In therapy, we create space to explore what’s underneath these experiences while also helping you reconnect with meaning, energy, and moments of relief—at a pace that respects where you are.
-
Burnout is more than stress, it is a deep level of emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion that often builds over time. It can come from caregiving, high-responsibility roles, chronic stress, or feeling like you are constantly giving without replenishing.
We help you understand the impact burnout has had on your system, rebuild capacity, and create more sustainable ways of living, working, and caring for yourself.
-
Struggles with self-worth can impact every area of your life. You may notice self-criticism, comparison, people-pleasing, or feeling like you are “not enough.”
We work to explore where these beliefs come from, gently challenge the patterns that maintain them, and help you build a more compassionate and stable sense of self that is not dependent on external validation.
-
Relationships can be deeply meaningful, and also deeply challenging. You may find yourself stuck in repeating patterns, struggling to communicate effectively, or feeling disconnected from your partner or loved ones.
We help you understand these cycles, increase emotional awareness, and develop more effective, honest, and respectful ways of communicating and reconnecting.
-
Early experiences and relationships shape how we connect with others. You may notice fears of abandonment, difficulty trusting, or challenges with closeness and vulnerability.
In therapy, we explore these patterns with curiosity and care, helping you understand where they come from and supporting you in building more secure, fulfilling relationships.
-
Intimacy, both emotional and physical, can be impacted by stress, disconnection, past experiences, or communication challenges. You may notice differences in desire, difficulty talking about sex, or feeling disconnected from your partner.
We create a safe, non-judgmental space to explore these concerns, strengthen communication, and support the rebuilding of connection, safety, and intimacy.
-
For some, emotions can feel intense, overwhelming, or difficult to manage. For others, it may feel hard to access or express emotions at all.
We help you build the skills to understand, tolerate, and respond to emotions in a way that feels more balanced and intentional, so they feel less controlling and more manageable.
-
You may find yourself saying yes when you want to say no, prioritizing others’ needs, or feeling responsible for how others feel. Over time, this can lead to resentment, burnout, and disconnection from yourself.
We work with you to understand these patterns, explore their roots, and develop the confidence and skills to set boundaries that feel clear, respectful, and sustainable.
-
Grief is not limited to the loss of a loved one, it can include loss of relationships, identity, expectations, or stages of life. Transitions, even positive ones, can feel destabilizing.
We provide a space where your experience is not rushed or minimized, while supporting you in navigating change and finding a sense of stability and meaning.
